  • “The level of support was second to none. Very different from the college placement which I did, felt like part of the project, and worked on a whole live project. Neil always made time to support and ensured that I was on the right track”. (Callum) Student working with P34B on work placement”
  • “I am hoping to learn new knowledge that I have not already learnt in my university studies. I also am hoping to build certain skills such as working in a team and my confidence. I also hope this programme presents how to turn the knowledge and skills I have learnt within university and within this bootcamp into a real-life job”
  • “My hopes are to expand my network and develop my practical skills within a business environment”
  • “To find an exciting opportunity with a new employer in a Project Management role”
  • “I think the stuff that is being done overall is exciting and could put us in really good stead for the future”
  • “the outcomes of Neil’s impact on the programme were multiple; greatly increased levels of integration, heightened ability to react to and manage change, better understanding of programme risk and opportunity, improved programme strategy and consolidated data driven reporting tools.
  • “Thank you for the opportunity to speak to experienced industry experts to gain important advice and insights into my preferred career”
  • “More than expected. The boot camp helped me improve both professionally and personally”
  • “My experience was much greater than initially thought it would be. It benefited me a lot more than I thought and was produced, unlike any training programme”
  • “From the initial brief provided, the bootcamp far exceeded my initial expectations. I wasn’t too sure what to expect from the beginning as I’ve never been a part of this type of skills bootcamp before so it was a nice surprise to see how the program was planned out and what we would be learning throughout the 10 weeks. Every week progressed our skills, knowledge and behaviours to support our development and help us find new ways to improve our working abilities. As a mature student attending the program looking for a potential new career path, this bootcamp provided me with a fantastic platform to receive feedback, support and new direction which has helped me progress as a person and an individual”
  • “These sessions where very real, always kept in real life context and situations. Everyone who supported these sessions offered their honest and true opinions which really helped all the learners. Keep the honesty and feedback throughout. Each session progressed well to the week after, asking us to deliver on next steps, next stages and stepping up to take us out of our comfort zones, or in some cases providing constructive feedback on how to improve ourselves in these zones”
  • “Beneficial. Every session in bootcamp is useful to improve my skills”
  • “allowed me to develop my knowledge and skills from the increased knowledge in pm and introduction to power bi to the development of employability skills and I learned the ability to self-reflect”
  • “I have found the skills bootcamp really beneficial to my own personal development, it has improved my life skills, my behaviours and my knowledge of different opportunities and industries which may value what I bring to a new company. It has been a very valuable use of my time. I have met some amazing people, heard some brilliant stories and it’s made me realise my skills, enthusiasm and energy can be used in a different way to my current working role. The bootcamp has opened potential working opportunities I never thought I’d come across and the support in allowing me to develop and learn has been second to none”
  • “I have been on a journey in my career the past few years after leaving a twenty-year career in hospitality and the roles I have been carrying out have not fulfilled my drive or job satisfaction. This bootcamp has shown me there are like-minded people who want to develop others, support them through their career choices and show them there are alternative and positive paths and routeways to take”
  • “My next steps might show the benefit of this program better as I work towards a different career and step through some of the doors which have recently opened to me”
  • “Interviews and review of my CV will surely influence my employability potential. The technical knowledge explained in this camp if improved by me can be part of my future CV”
  • “ It has developed my knowledge of project management it gave me a link to network with real business leaders. I also had the ability to present in front of the group and attend a formal interview all giving feedback to improve my technique”
  • “I always felt that I was an employable person with the skills I have picked up from my management career in hospitality, running large businesses, opening my own restaurant, managing large teams of staff and managing profit and loss accounts in excess of £1million’s of turnover. However, upon leaving hospitality I was met with limited interviews (even though I met all the criteria), limited opportunities to progress and ended up taking a £15k pay cut to try a new job in education”
  • “In my opinion without a piece of paper showing I have a degree, my twenty years of management experience, leadership skills and business skills seemed and felt worthless. This bootcamp has given me the confidence again that my skills are useful, I do have something different to offer that you can’t teach people in an educational setting studying for a degree. I have realised I’m a people person, I like to help people develop and improve themselves and I’m an honest person who speaks from the heart. I have recently worked in a sector where leadership is lacking, budget experience is poor and management processes and systems are archaic. During the program I have gone from feeling dejected in the education sector to seeing my potential raise beyond levels I can currently describe to support more meaningful ventures and people”
  • “I would like to say thank you it developed me as a person with some very good feedback and advice allowing me to develop professional having a much better approach to employability. Understand some good techniques and tips that I will use going forward”
  • “Would like to say thankyou really appreciated all sessions that increased my knowledge I especially liked the introduction to pm and the career session really useful to expand my understanding and the significance of power bi”.
  • “I really enjoyed these sessions. They provided some valuable learning in older tech (Excel) whilst also introducing us to new automation techniques. There could potentially be some pre-learning for candidates to do in the future (very basic coding) and ways to get the candidates to design their own automation tools to either help a real life task, or something in their personal lives (finances) to actually put the learning objectives into real life context”
  • “The content was brilliant, well delivered and enjoyable. These are all real life examples of how technology can improve a businesses performance and the examples used where relatable and current”
  • “I enjoyed learning about project controls since I have only learnt limited knowledge from University. I found it interesting learning how data is being used to assess risk within the workplace and how this is evolving in the future. I found the session very useful and liked how we were involved with answering questions”
  • “I enjoyed it, the content was plentiful and there is research to go away and do on some of the areas touched on, but it gave a good introduction to the amount of work in the industry”
  • “Very informative and interesting, explained thoroughly what they were about”
  • “Really informative, if a little ‘intense’ to start off with, lots of industry specialist terms came up so it’s on me to learn quickly at the moment”
  • “A personal transformation to know myself. This sessions helped develop confidence and new essence for life. Thank you Andi and Dave”
  • “It is quite an intense ten week program and needs a certain level of dedication and commitment from it’s participants so it does need to appeal to people who want to progress in their careers. I think it needs to be aimed at people with some level of working experiences, life experiences and maybe people looking for new career opportunities or students at ages of around 18-21 who need support and exposure to employers, mentors and trainers to help them in their first steps for a career path. I believe this program could be open to a wide range of people who want to find new opportunities, but the candidates also have to have an element of determination to complete the program”

  • “Level of support was second to none”. “Very different from the college placement which I did, felt like part of the project, and worked on a whole live project”
  • “I got much more out of it than I ever expected. It was essentially a marketing role, but it was much more”
  • “Gave me options to follow different career paths and opened my eyes about my skills and how I could use them in graduate jobs”
  • “Felt like it was a real job because of how I was treated”
  • “We had regular check points for development and progress. This was good”.
  • “I feel that I have more confidence now as I have dealt with stakeholders and professionals and am able to communicate ideas effectively now. I have learned that it is always important to have a Plan B in case Plan A is not developed”
  • “Problem-solving skills and communicating in a business forum. Allowed me to interact with stakeholders and developed my skills in working on a virtual platform”

We clearly have a likeminded approach to our values and behaviours both from a personal and work aspect and I do feel this created a relaxed and effective environment which gave is the right foundation for this project. [The client management team] were delighted with the end result”

  • “I’d like to connect you up with Neil Horner, Founder and Director  of P34B . To be honest ,recommendation of an external SME  is something I very rarely do , however in the case of Neil and P34B , it’s an exception I am pleased to make . Their  business approach is very different from other SME’s we have experienced, the opposite of the  “ land and expand “ model, more very personal, super collaborative , tailored to specific needs, and I guess most importantly for us, delivery of outcomes”
  • “We have been working with Neil at …. for the last 12 – 18 months, in particular Neil and his team worked very closely with myself and my team to  help shape and put in place our Project Services  Strategic plans ,  PMO arrangements and  supported the evolution of our digitised  reporting strategy”
